The Shared Humanity Project puts thoughts into action to end poverty. We bring together people of all ages, races, and backgrounds to work toward economic and social change and the advancement of humanity.

Our quarterly newsletter will share the latest updates as we continue to launch The National Plan to End Poverty. We encourage you to share this message and invite others to join our mission.

Why a national plan to end poverty? In 1964, the United States government declared a war on poverty. Fifty-seven years later, we are still “fighting” this war, with more than one-fifth of all Americans living without enough pay to get by on their own.

The Shared Humanity Project’s National Plan to End Poverty provides a more accurate way of understanding what people need to get by. Our National Poverty Plan Standards (NPPS) are based on 50% of local median income and consider local costs of living to more accurately capture economic need than the federal poverty line.
